Introduction
According to Wikipedia, Shadowsocks is an open-source encrypted proxy project, widely used in mainland China to circumvent Internet censorship. It was created in 2012 by a Chinese programmer named "clowwindy", and multiple implementations of the protocol have been made available since.
Showdowsocks is a fast and relialble proxy for anonymizing your web traffic.
Step 1 - Install Shadowsocks Application
Open your Cloudbox Management page find & install "Shadowsocks" application within the Available Applications section.
Step 2 - Download your Client from the official website
Windows Mac Linux Android iOS OpenWRT
Step 3 - Open Client
Step 4 - Go to 'Servers - New Server'
Step 5 - Go to Server Preferences
Step 6 - Add new Server with the following information
- Address: Your Cloudbox IP or Hostname
- Port: Your Primary TCP Randomly assigned port
- Password: Your Cloudbox Password
- Encryption: aes-128-gcm
Step 7 - Test Connection
Test Connection by checking your Public IP https://www.google.com/search?&q=what+is+my+ip
Conclusion
You have successfully set a Shadowsocks Server on your Cloudbox and you can now use in order to browser Web fast and anonymously.
